British subjects require a valid passport and return ticket to visit Canada. A visa is not required, except for holders of passports endorsed ‘British Subjects’ and ‘British Protected Persons’, who do require a visa

Tipping
Tips or service charges are not usually added to restaurant bills in Canada. Wages in many restaurants are based on the assumption that staff will receive a significant proportion of their income in tips. If you are satisfied with the service received, a tip of 15% is customary.

Government services, schools and banks are closed, some shops and restaurants may also be closed during these days but many remain open.
